Education and Training
Dr. Mariusz J. Klin graduated top of his class from
Silesian School of Medicine in Katowice, Poland. In
1987, he received his PhD in clinical Pharmacology.
Dr. Klin finished internal medicine residence and nephrology
fellowship and held Assistant Professor position at
the Silesian School of Medicine. Dr. Mariusz J. Klin
received Teaching Awards as well as Scientific Awards
from President of the Medical School. In 1990, he obtained
recognition award from European Dialysis and Transplantation
Association.
In 1991 Mariusz J. Klin M.D., Ph.D received the distinguished
John E. Fogarty International Research Fellowship awarded
by National Institutes of Health, Bethesda USA. Up to
date, he has published 59 clinically relevant articles
in medical journals. Dr. Klin's research allowed to
understand second messenger signaling in liver, calcium
metabolism in hepatocytes and lipid metabolism in uremic
liver. His work has been published in the best medical
journals such as: American Journal of Physiology and
Journal of Clinical Investigation.
In 1996, Dr. Klin entered Internal Medicine residency
program and and he graduated from Gastroenterology and
Liver Fellowship at University of Southern California,
Los Angeles. During his training at the University of
Southern California, Dr. Klin obtained The Best Resident
Award 1998 and recognition award from the President
of American Association ofScience in Liver Disease (AASLD,
1989).
Dr. Klin is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine
and American Board certified in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Klin is a member of American Medical Association,
American College of Gastroenterolgy, American Society
for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterology
Association and Member of Crohn's and Colitis Foundation
of America.
Dr. Mariusz J. Klin practices in the whole spectrum
of gastrointestinal and liver diseases including inflammatory
bowel diseases.
